Health Care Aide (HCA), Rosedale Hospice

Casual (day, evening, and night shifts)

Are you experienced in palliative care settings, compassionate and empathetic for people in times of stress?

The position provides patient-related end-of-life care and assists with maintaining a safe, hygienic, comfortable, and efficient environment for the patients, staff, and visitors. The position also contributes to an ethical, safe, and inclusive environment through knowledge and practice of the organization’s policies and procedures.

Certification from a recognized Health Care Aide program or equivalent  required.

Counsellor, Children's Grief Centre

1.0 FTE, Permanent Full Time

Are you an experienced counsellor, passionate about client and family centered care?

The position provides short and long term grief and trauma-focused counselling to children, teens, and their families who are grieving a sudden or expected death. Facilitates group support for children, teens, and parents and advocates for community support and access to appropriate resources.

*MSW or MA Counselling required.

Family Counsellor, Living With Advanced Illness Centre

0.5 to 1.0 FTE, Contract with Potential to Become Permanent

Are you an experienced counsellor and collaborator, passionate about client and family centered care?

This role will provide responsive services to adults living with advanced illness and their families, including children and youth, through counselling and group sessions.

*Must have current registration with a professional association.

Practicums

Hospice Calgary, through its Children’s Grief Centre, offers a high quality, well-established, and supportive practicum program for students in their last year of a post graduate counselling degree.

Counselling Practicum for Masters Students

The next opportunity to join our practicum program will be for the 2024-2025 academic year. We will post information on when and how to apply in the first months of 2024.
