Hike for Hospice Calgary is a fundraising walk for all ages and abilities.

We hike to celebrate our clients and families, honour those living with advanced illness, and remember loved ones who have passed away.

We hike because Hospice Calgary relies on our community to help cover rising costs so we can continue offering our essential programs to those who need them most.

We hike because coming together as a community helps us heal.

Join us on May 5th for a memorable 5 km walk around Fish Creek Park, hear from a client ambassador, meet the Calgary Stampeders, enjoy live music, face painting, prizes, and a free lunch!

STEP 1: Register to Hike

Adult: $20
Youth: $15
Kids 5 & under: Free

STEP 2: Create Your Fundraising Page

You can make a profound impact on our clients by helping us raise over $100,000.

Note: Fundraising amounts for prize eligibility and on-route celebration markers are calculated May 4 at 10:30 AM.

STEP 3: Create Your Fundraising Team (optional)

Once you create a personal fundraising page, you have the ability to create a team of fundraisers to join you in your mission to raise money to support Hospice Calgary.

Can I donate to the fundraiser without attending the event?

Absolutely! Any amount is very much appreciated. You can check out our fundraising page and hit the “Give Now” button.

I received a donation from someone who didn’t use my fundraising page. What should I do next?

DO NOT use your own credit card to add this donation to your page because the tax receipt will be issued to the name on the credit card and can’t be changed. You can log it on your page as an offline donation and drop off the cash or cheque to Hospice Calgary.

What do I need to bring to the event?

Dress for the weather, as this is an outdoor event. Wear comfortable shoes to walk the 5 KM route. Bring a water bottle (water stations will be available at the event for refills).

What skill level is the hike?

Beginner! Think of it as a nature walk instead of a hike. The entire path is paved and stroller friendly.

How do I get to the event and where do I park?

To get to the event, type “Sikome Lake” into your GPS. Parking will be in the lots just north of the Lake. Reference the map below for more details.
