FAQs

Can I donate to the fundraiser without attending the event?

Absolutely! Any amount is very much appreciated. You can check out our fundraising page and hit the “Give Now” button.

I received a donation from someone who didn’t use my fundraising page. What should I do next?

DO NOT use your own credit card to add this donation to your page because the tax receipt will be issued to the name on the credit card and can’t be changed. You can log it on your page as an offline donation and drop off the cash or cheque to Hospice Calgary.

What do I need to bring to the event?

Dress for the weather, as this is an outdoor event. Wear comfortable shoes to walk the 5 KM route. Bring a water bottle (water stations will be available at the event for refills).

What skill level is this hike?

Beginner! Think of it as a nature walk instead of a hike. The entire path is paved and stroller friendly.

How do I get to the event and where do I park?

To get to the event, type “Sikome Lake” into your GPS. Parking will be in the lots just north of the Lake. Reference the map below for more details.
