Counsellor, Children’s Grief Centre

Option of 0.4 or 0.6 FTE if seeking part-time position or working in private practice

The Children’s Grief Centre is expanding our team! We are seeking experienced and skilled counsellors to join our clinical team to provide short and long-term grief and trauma-focused counselling to children, teens, and their families who are grieving a sudden or expected death.

The counsellor should have a strong understanding of child and adolescent development in conceptualisation and practice and a minimum of 3-5 years of clinical counselling experience.

Valid driver’s license with own transportation required.

Program Assistant, Living with Advanced Illness Centre

0.7 FTE, Contract Position (ends August 31, 2026)

The Program Assistant works within an inter-professional team of colleagues and volunteers to support the day-to-day operations of the Living with Advanced Illness Centre (LAIC). The role supports intake and administration.

The role will be responsible for communicating with clients about LAIC programs and services, and developing/maintaining relationships with referring community partners. The Program Assistant will also ensure accurate data management of program, and support ongoing program evaluation.

Must be flexible in availability, able to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Clinical Supervisor, Living with Advanced Illness Centre

Part-Time, Permanent Position

The Living with Advanced Illness Centre team offers community-based mental health and practical supports to individuals affected by any advanced illness. We are seeking an experienced Clinical Supervisor to join our team to provide direct supervision through both team and one-to-one sessions. 

The role will also be responsible for assisting with continuous improvement initiatives, outcome measurement, and contributing to an ethical, safe, and inclusive environment through knowledge and practice of the organization’s policies and procedures.

A master’s degree in counselling, social work, or other related discipline is required.

Hospice Calgary, through its Children’s Grief Centre, offers a high quality, well-established, and supportive practicum program for students in their last year of a post graduate counselling degree.
