Child & Family Counsellor, Living with Advanced Illness Centre
Contract Part-Time (0.6 FTE)
Are you interested in providing assessments and counselling support to children, teens, young adults, and their families impacted by advanced illness and grief?
Are you passionate about advocating on behalf of families for optimal community support and access to appropriate resources that optimize well-being during their illness journey?
Working within a clinical team and independently, the position provides specialized support to clients experiencing emotional and psychological issues prevalent in grief, complicated grief, and trauma.
Current registration in professional organization required.

Casual Cook, Rosedale Hospice
Casual, Part Time (evenings, weekends, days)
Would you like to prepare comforting, home-made meals for patients and their families?
Are you interested in helping to create a home-like environment where the little things make all the difference to patients and families in their last days?
The role will report to the House Manager, and be responsible to providing “home-cooking” for patients and their loved ones. The casual cook will also be in charge of ensuring a food safe environment, and assisting other staff and volunteers as necessary.
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

Hospice Calgary, through its Children’s Grief Centre, offers a high quality, well-established, and supportive practicum program for students in their last year of a post graduate counselling degree.
Counselling Practicum for Masters Students
Thank you for your interest in participating in a practicum opportunity with the Children’s Grief Centre. The next opportunity to join our practicum program will be for the 2026-2027 academic year. Our website will have information on when and how to apply in the first months of 2026.
