Yonas, our House Manager, in the upgraded elevette!
Our Elevator and Service Elevator (affectionately known as our “Elevette”) have been undergoing major upgrades since June. The Elevette upgrades were completed in early August and included new internal mechanisms, a new cabin interior, and a fresh coat of paint. These changes also mean a much quieter ride.
The passenger elevator – a much larger project – began in late August. The upgrades included replacing the motor, circuit boards, and electrical systems, introducing new technology, adding a dedicated emergency telephone line, and giving the cabin a completely new look. Once complete, the elevator will be more efficient, reliable, and modernized.
We are deeply grateful to Matt, Christine, and the entire team at Atta Elevator for their support throughout this project. With the passenger elevator out of service, there have been challenges, but their willingness to move the elevator for us when needed and their thoughtful after-hours plan with technicians has made a world of difference. A shout out to all of the staff at Rosedale who continue to give incredible care no matter the obstacles.
