We’re here for you! We know that the state of the world right now is a little overwhelming for everyone and that it can be hard to feel grounded and safe as things change so rapidly.
Figuring out a new normal for yourself and your family may take a lot of space and energy, but we know that your grief has not gone away: it’s there, quieter or louder, in the midst of all these other stressors.
We’re here for you! We may not be able to connect face-to-face, but we are available on the phone, by email, and soon will be available to do sessions on video. We’re working on this and it’s a top priority for us to provide you with options that feel good to you to connect and get the support you need.
Many of you reached out to us because you felt isolated in your grief and, today, you may feel more isolated than ever.
We’re here for you! We have launched our new Text & Chat Service. Of course, we had no idea of what the world would feel like on March 19, 2020 when we launched, but we are so glad that grieving children, teens and parents/caregivers will have another way to reach for support. At this point, the Text & Chat service will be available Tuesdays & Thursdays 3pm-8pm and Fridays 1pm-5pm. We will extend these hours if we get more demand for this service. You can access the Chat on our website and Text at 587.355.2210.
Hospice Calgary & the Children’s Grief Centre have always been nimble and responsive to grieving families’ needs and we will continue to do so. Please tell us how we can best support you. We’re in this together! Reach out. We will keep our website updated as well as our social media channels ( Facebook @HospiceCalgary, Twitter @childrensgrief, Instgram @childrensgriefca ).
